Effective Protection Measures for Engine and Fuel System

Danger in the tank: The consequences of unused diesel
If diesel is left unused in vehicles or ships for a long period of time, this can have a negative impact on the fuel and the fuel system. A high level of humidity or the increased proportion of biofuel in commercial diesel cause the water content of the fuel to rise. Bacteria, yeasts and fungi thrive in this environment and over time form a dangerous organic sludge, also known as "diesel plague".
Depending on the amount of biosludge, the negative consequences are malfunctions, biocorrosion, clogged filters and fuel lines, and even engine damage. With the "985 System Schutz Fuel Guard" we have brought a new, patent-pending recipe onto the market. Biological contaminants are eliminated and new contamination can be avoided if added to the fuel regularly. The system protection is compatible with all common materials used in fuel and injection systems. Despite the biocide-free formulation, the product convinces with a strong effect. And it can also score in terms of speed: it takes effect after just a few minutes. Previously available products for the same purpose usually only work after several hours.
Against crystal formation and loss of performance
To clean their modern diesel engines, car manufacturers rely on SCR catalytic converters to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. For this purpose, an aqueous urea solution is injected.
When driving mostly short distances and with an unfavorable driving profile, the required high temperatures in the exhaust system are often not reached. The result: The conversion to nitrogen (N2) und water (H2O) cannot take place optimally. As a result, white crystal deposits form on the urea dosing system and the SCR catalytic converter / SCRF, the NOx reduction does not work properly and increased emission values are achieved. Engine malfunctions and loss of performance can be the result.
Our 987 can help here. It prevents crystal formation and the cleaning of already existing crystal layers. With regular use, engine malfunctions are prevented and power losses due to clogging of the SCR catalytic converter are effectively reduced.
New technologies can improve many things, but they also have their shortcomings: Anyone who drives a plug-in hybrid almost exclusively electrically can be in for a nasty surprise: the fuel in the tank spoils like forgotten milk in the refrigerator. Because if the combustion engine is not used often, the fuel in the tank quickly becomes "bad". With pure petrol engines, this is not noticeable so quickly because the tank filling is usually used up quickly.
Fuel stability for hybrid vehicles
With the "965 System Active Substance Hybrid", TUNAP has now launched a formulation specifically for hybrid vehicles with petrol engines. The system active ingredient protects and cleans injectors and stabilizes the fuel during longer downtimes that are typical of hybrids. It offers very good protection against corrosion and prevents the formation of deposits. At the same time, fuel consumption can be reduced and the octane rating improved.
